Sungrow, a global leader in inverter and energy storage technology, has launched its new PowerTitan 3.0 platform. Designed for today’s rapidly evolving clean energy environment, the system delivers advanced flexibility, power density, and intelligence for large-scale energy storage applications. PowerTitan 3.0 is now commercially available worldwide.
The platform is built to move beyond fixed, standardized setups. It uses a modular design where all key functions can be deployed based on specific project needs—no redesign required. This makes it highly adaptable across a wide range of global utility-scale use cases.
At the heart of PowerTitan 3.0 is the industry’s first large-scale use of a fully liquid-cooled Silicon Carbide Power Conversion System. Each unit delivers 450 kilowatts of power with a maximum efficiency of 99.3 percent and a round-trip efficiency of 93.5 percent. Importantly, the system continues full-power operation even in extreme temperatures up to 55 degrees Celsius, making it well-suited for regions such as the Middle East.
To simplify deployment, PowerTitan 3.0 comes pre-installed, pre-tested, and factory-integrated with block-level design. Intelligent configuration tools reduce setup time by 17 days on a 1 gigawatt-hour project, supporting rapid rollout at scale.
The system includes several intelligent tools. PowerBidder, Sungrow’s electricity market trading system, helps operators reduce financial risks and improve trading performance. PowerDoctor, an integrated maintenance assistant, can detect over 30 types of faults with more than 99 percent diagnostic accuracy. It also guides technicians through repairs, improving both uptime and response time.
PowerTitan 3.0 also includes Sungrow’s next-generation Stem-Cell Grid-Forming Technology. This allows the system to anticipate and respond to grid disturbances, switch between grid-following and grid-forming modes without interruption, and support grid black-starts at the gigawatt level. It can handle wide grid strength variations and respond in just 20 milliseconds to sudden changes in grid conditions.
To meet different project requirements, the platform is launching in three versions: a 10-foot Flex unit with 3.45 megawatt-hours of capacity, a 20-foot Class version with 6.9 megawatt-hours, and a 30-foot Plus version with 12.5 megawatt-hours. All models support storage durations from two to twelve hours and are rated for stable performance from minus 40 to plus 55 degrees Celsius and altitudes up to 5,000 meters.
With PowerTitan 3.0, Sungrow is redefining how large-scale energy storage is deployed and managed—making it faster to install, more intelligent to operate, and more resilient to real-world challenges.
