Sungrow, a global leader in photovoltaic (PV) inverters and energy storage systems, is presenting its latest renewable energy technologies at SNEC 2025, taking place from June 11 to 13 in Shanghai. The company is highlighting a wide range of innovations designed to support utility-scale, commercial, and distributed energy markets.
Among the key highlights is the PowerTitan 3.0 Energy Storage System (ESS), which sets a new benchmark for large-scale storage with its high energy density, modular design, and intelligent features. Available in multiple configurationsโ10-foot (3.45 MWh), 20-foot (6.9 MWh), and the flagship 30-foot Plus version (12.5 MWh)โthe system supports discharge durations from 2 to 12 hours. The 30-foot Plus version is currently the worldโs largest battery energy storage system by both capacity and power density, offering up to 12.5 MW/50 MWh per block.
The PowerTitan 3.0 features an all-in-one AC-DC architecture and uses 684Ah stacking battery cells to achieve high integration. This design reduces land use by 45 percent and cabling by 10 percent, helping lower capital costs. With a round-trip efficiency of 93.5 percent, it offers strong performance even in extreme environments.
Sungrow also introduced its new commercial and industrial (C&I) energy solutions, including the PowerStack 255CS, a liquid-cooled ESS tailored for flexible deployment. Built with 314Ah battery cells, the system offers energy capacities of 257 kWh (2-hour) or 514 kWh (4-hour), with more than 90 percent efficiency and a 20-year design life. It is integrated with power conversion systems, energy and battery management systems, and is certified under global safety standards such as UL9540 and NFPA guidelines.
Designed for a variety of scenariosโsuch as standalone ESS, PV-plus-ESS systems, EV charging support, and microgridsโthe PowerStack 255CS can be paired with Sungrowโs SH125CX, a 125 kW hybrid inverter, to create a fully DC-coupled solution ideal for medium to large C&I applications.
In the utility-scale solar segment, Sungrow unveiled its updated 1+X 2.0 Modular Inverter. This inverter features a scalable block design ranging from 800 kW to 9.6 MW and has been recognized with an iF Design Award. Its modular design separates critical components for easier field maintenance, reducing on-site replacement time to one hour per module. It also includes IP66-rated protection and can operate at full capacity without performance loss in temperatures up to 45ยฐC.
Advanced features include artificial intelligence for fault detection, enhanced safety management on the DC side, and grid-forming capabilities that help support power grid stability.
