Sunkind Energy Partners With JA Solar To Power Up Solar Cell And Module Manufacturing In India

Sunkind Energy Limited, one of India’s rapidly growing solar solution providers, has entered into a technical partnership with JA Solar, a globally recognized Tier-I company known for its high-efficiency solar technologies. The collaboration is aimed at strengthening Sunkind’s solar cell and module manufacturing capabilities as the company prepares to set up a 2.4 GW photovoltaic (PV) cell and a 4 GW module manufacturing facility in India. Through this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Sunkind will gain access to JA Solar’s advanced technical know-how and well-established raw material supply chain. This partnership will enable Sunkind to integrate globally accepted best practices and next-generation high-efficiency technologies into its manufacturing operations.

The goal is to produce high-performance, reliable solar products that support India’s growing demand for clean energy. The announcement comes at a crucial time, as India’s solar sector is experiencing unprecedented growth. In 2024, the country added 30.7 GW of new solar capacity marking a 145% increase compared to the previous year, positioning India as the third-largest solar market in the world.
