Tata Power Renewable Eyes 7.3 GW by FY26 with Aggressive Solar and Wind Expansion

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power and one of Indiaโ€™s largest renewable energy companies, commissioned 752 MW of solar projects in Q1 FY26 โ€” its highest-ever quarterly addition, marking a 112% increase over the 354 MW commissioned in Q1 FY25.

This milestone reflects TPRELโ€™s focus on efficient execution, disciplined project management, and adherence to high standards of quality and safety. Leveraging advanced engineering, a robust supply chain, and strong vendor partnerships, the company continues to deliver complex projects even in challenging conditions while optimizing costs.

With this addition, TPRELโ€™s total operational utility-scale renewable capacity has reached 5.6 GW โ€” comprising 4.6 GW of solar and 1 GW of wind. The company plans to further commission 1.7 GW of utility-owned projects and 1 GW of third-party projects in FY26.

TPREL is targeting a total operational capacity of 7.3 GW by the end of FY26, including 5.6 GW solar and 1.7 GW wind. These installations significantly contribute to Indiaโ€™s clean energy growth and reinforce Tata Powerโ€™s commitment to national energy security and sustainability goals.
