Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has issued a tender for the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) contract, including insurance, for a 10 MW ground-mounted solar power project located at Badi Sid, Rajasthan. The contract duration is for five years. The tender was released on July 15, 2025.
The scope of work includes comprehensive O&M services such as performance demonstration, supply and storage of all mandatory spare parts, consumables, and the repair or replacement of any defective equipment throughout the five-year contract period. The successful contractor will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation, maintenance, and upkeep of the solar plant during the entire period.
This tender follows a Single Stage Two Envelope bidding process, which will be concluded with an e-Reverse Auction. It is open to domestic competitive bidders registered in India only. Interested bidders must submit their online bids by August 5, 2025, 2:00 PM IST. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same day at 4:00 PM IST.
As part of the bid submission requirements, interested parties are to pay a non-refundable tender processing fee of ₹25,000 (excluding GST). In addition, an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹5,27,000 is mandatory for bid submission. The EMD must remain valid for at least 30 days beyond the bid validity period. Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) requirements will be applicable as per the Special Conditions of the Contract.
A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for July 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM IST. Prospective bidders are advised to visit the site before attending the pre-bid meeting to understand the ground realities and project infrastructure, including the power evacuation system.
SECI emphasized that this is an entirely online bidding process through the ISN-ETS portal (www.bharat-electronictender.com), and no manual or hard copy of the bid will be accepted, except for a few fundamental compliance documents, which must be submitted offline.
This project reflects SECI’s continued focus on reliable operation and asset longevity of solar projects while ensuring quality services under O&M contracts. The selected contractor will contribute to enhancing the performance and lifecycle of a key renewable asset supporting India’s solar energy goals.
