VSB Group Wins Auction Contract To Build 303 MWp Solar Park In Lower Silesia, Boosting Poland’s Renewable Energy

VSB has secured a contract for difference (CfD) for a 303 megawatt-peak (MWp) solar park in Poland, as part of the latest renewable energy auction conducted by the Polish Energy Regulatory Office (URE). This marks the largest solar project ever undertaken by the VSB Group. The fully approved project is located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, northeast of Wrocław, and will cover an area of more than 260 hectares.

Construction of the solar park is scheduled to begin in October 2025, with grid connection expected by the second quarter of 2027. Once operational, the plant is projected to generate enough clean energy to power approximately 117,000 households annually. The project has secured a 15-year contract for difference, which guarantees long-term price stability for the electricity produced. This ground-mounted solar installation will be one of the largest photovoltaic parks currently in development or under construction in Poland.

This solar park is VSB Poland’s second major renewable energy project in recent years, following the development and construction of the Miejska Górka wind project. With an installed capacity of 190.8 megawatts, Miejska Górka is currently the largest wind energy project in Poland and was developed in partnership with Tauron Zielona Energia.
