GoodWe, a global provider of solar PV and energy storage solutions, has achieved an AA rating in the latest ESG assessment by Wind, one of Chinaโs most influential ESG rating agencies. Scoring 8.63, the company ranks among the top 10 of 394 enterprises in the Electrical Equipment III category.
The rating underscores GoodWeโs sustained focus on environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and strong corporate governance, reinforcing its position in both domestic and international markets. Widely recognized across Chinaโs capital markets, the Wind ESG Rating aligns with global ESG standards while considering local regulatory frameworks. It evaluates companies using over 500 performance indicators and 1,200 controversy event tags, offering a detailed view of ESG performance.
GoodWe has embedded ESG oversight at the board level through its ESG Strategy and Management Committee and has issued four consecutive ESG reports. Its 2024 Sustainability Report received independent verification from TรV Rheinland, further enhancing transparency. The company continues to invest in research and development, business ethics, and data protection as part of its governance framework.
Environmentally, GoodWe is among the first in its sector to complete Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas inventories. In 2024, it expanded carbon verification beyond its Suzhou and Guangde factories to include subsidiary Yude Solar. By implementing digital tools and internal carbon task forces, it is developing a scalable carbon data management system to advance its decarbonization goals.
