GC Maintenance and Engineering Company Limited (GCME), a subsidiary of Thailand’s PTT Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with First National Holding Company (NOMAC), the operations and maintenance arm of Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power.
The agreement, signed by Mr. Sarawuth Nuntavadeepisarn, Managing Director of GCME, and Mr. Stefan Alfons L. Verlee, Director of NOMAC, establishes a framework for collaboration in operations, maintenance, and field services for existing and future assets owned by GCME and its affiliates.
The partnership is a strategic step in GCME’s transformation from a conventional engineering and maintenance service provider into a “Total Solution Provider”, offering end-to-end services including design, construction, commissioning, maintenance, and system optimization. The focus will be on strengthening expertise within the energy and petrochemical sectors.
NOMAC brings global experience in O&M across power, water, renewable energy, and green hydrogen/ammonia projects, with technical expertise spanning gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and rotating/static equipment. This aligns with GCME’s strategy to expand both regional and international capabilities.
As part of the MoU, both companies will form a joint working team to drive strategic collaboration, technology exchange, and resource sharing, with tangible outcomes expected over the next three years.
The agreement reflects a shared vision to elevate Thailand’s industrial service standards to the global stage, while boosting competitiveness in the energy and heavy industries markets worldwide.
