Ceigall India Limited, one of the fastest-growing EPC companies in the country, has announced its entry into the renewable energy sector with a significant development. The company has secured two Letters of Intent (LOIs) from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply of solar power. This marks an important milestone for Ceigall India as it diversifies its portfolio beyond conventional projects and ventures into the green energy space.
The projects fall under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0, a flagship initiative of the Maharashtra government aimed at promoting solar energy and ensuring a sustainable power supply. Under this initiative, Ceigall India will establish grid-connected solar power projects at multiple sites across Maharashtra. Through these projects, the company will supply a total of 337 MW of solar power, which has been awarded on the basis of a tariff-based competitive bidding process conducted by MSEDCL.
By entering the renewable energy sector, Ceigall India is positioning itself in one of the most promising and fast-growing industries. This step reflects the companyโs strategy to explore new avenues of growth and enhance its long-term value creation. The focus on renewable energy also aligns with the national vision of expanding clean energy capacity and reducing dependence on conventional power sources.
Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman & Managing Director of Ceigall India Limited, said in a statement, โSecuring Letters of Intent for solar power procurement in Maharashtra marks Ceigallโs foray into the renewable energy sector โ a space that will define the future of infrastructure and sustainable development in the country. This milestone reflects our commitment to building world-class solar projects that advance Indiaโs clean energy goals while empowering communities with reliable green power. This milestone is just the beginning โ we envision Ceigall playing a leading role in Indiaโs energy transition and creating long-term value for all stakeholders.โ
This foray into solar power demonstrates Ceigall Indiaโs commitment to building sustainable infrastructure and supporting Indiaโs energy transition goals. With its experience in executing large-scale projects and a strong reputation in the EPC sector, the company is well-placed to deliver efficient and impactful renewable energy solutions. The move not only strengthens its business outlook but also reinforces its role in driving the shift towards greener, more sustainable development in the country.
