The projects fall under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0, a flagship initiative of the Maharashtra government aimed at promoting solar energy and ensuring a sustainable power supply. Under this initiative, Ceigall India will establish grid-connected solar power projects at multiple sites across Maharashtra. Through these projects, the company will supply a total of 337 MW of solar power, which has been awarded on the basis of a tariff-based competitive bidding process conducted by MSEDCL.

By entering the renewable energy sector, Ceigall India is positioning itself in one of the most promising and fast-growing industries. This step reflects the company’s strategy to explore new avenues of growth and enhance its long-term value creation. The focus on renewable energy also aligns with the national vision of expanding clean energy capacity and reducing dependence on conventional power sources.

Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman & Managing Director of Ceigall India Limited, said in a statement, “Securing Letters of Intent for solar power procurement in Maharashtra marks Ceigall’s foray into the renewable energy sector — a space that will define the future of infrastructure and sustainable development in the country. This milestone reflects our commitment to building world-class solar projects that advance India’s clean energy goals while empowering communities with reliable green power. This milestone is just the beginning — we envision Ceigall playing a leading role in India’s energy transition and creating long-term value for all stakeholders.”
