Neoenergia has successfully delivered a new section of the Alto Paranaíba transmission line in northern Minas Gerais. This latest phase includes the expansion of the Arinos II and Paracatu IV substations, adding 819 MVar of installed capacity, along with the construction of a 500kV transmission line supported by 794 towers across seven municipalities: Arinos, Bonfinópolis de Minas, Dom Bosco, Natalândia, Paracatu, Riachinho, and Unaí.

The Alto Paranaíba project is part of Neoenergia’s broader strategy to enhance transmission capacity between northern Minas Gerais and São Paulo, in response to growing demand driven by renewable energy expansion. The remaining phases of the project are scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.

In addition to the Alto Paranaíba development, Neoenergia recently began commercial operations on the Poções III/Medeiros Neto II section in Bahia, part of the Morro do Chapéu transmission project. Earlier this year, in April, the company activated two transmission lines as part of the Vale do Itajaí project in Santa Catarina. This stretch includes three substations and 86 kilometers of transmission lines supported by 218 towers.

For the first half of 2025, Neoenergia invested approximately R$1.9 billion, fully allocated to the construction and finalisation of transmission lines and substations acquired through auctions. The company is on track to complete its transmission investment cycle by the end of the year, reinforcing its role in strengthening Brazil’s energy infrastructure.
