Yellow Door Energy, a leading sustainable energy partner for businesses in the Middle East and Africa, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a significant milestone: generating 1 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean energy through its solar projects. This achievement represents enough renewable electricity to charge approximately 273 million smartphones for an entire year and has prevented 396,000 metric tons of carbon emissions. These efforts directly support the clean energy goals and Net Zero commitments of both businesses and governments across the region.
Over the past decade, Yellow Door Energy has built a strong and diverse portfolio of solar assets totaling 400 megawatts-peak (MWp) across seven countries. These assets are at different stages of operation, construction, and planning, with the total capacity expected to grow to 500 MWp by the end of 2025. This growth highlights the company’s expanding influence in advancing clean energy adoption throughout the Middle East and Africa. Safety and operational excellence have been central to Yellow Door Energy’s approach.

The company has logged five million person-hours during the construction and operation of its projects without a single recordable incident, a testament to its rigorous quality, health, safety, social, and environmental (QHSSE) policies and practices. In the first half of 2025, Yellow Door Energy continued its rapid expansion by signing four new solar leases in Saudi Arabia and starting a major solar development project with GWC in Qatar. It also commissioned nine new solar power installations across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman, increasing its operational portfolio to 155 MWp.
The company’s achievements have been recognized within the industry, receiving two Solarabic UAE Awards: one for Flagship Solar Project of the Year for its work with Majid Al Futtaim Mosque and Tilal Al Ghaf—the region’s first Net Positive mosque—and another for Distinguished Industry Contributor, awarded to CEO Jeremy Crane.
As the Middle East continues to intensify investments in renewable energy, with the UAE aiming for nearly 20 gigawatts of clean energy capacity by 2030 and an estimated US $55 billion in renewable infrastructure projects on the horizon, Yellow Door Energy is well-positioned to support this transformation.
