DEWA and Dubai Health Partner to Advance Sustainable Digital Transformation in Healthcare

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) welcomed senior delegations from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and Dubai Health to its subsidiary Moro Hub, with discussions focused on advancing digital transformation, smart healthcare, and sustainable innovation.

The DHA delegation was led by HE Dr. Alawi AlSheikh Ali, Director General of DHA, while Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health, headed the Dubai Health team. They were received by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, along with Eng. Marwan Bin Haidar, Vice Chairman โ€“ Digital & Group CEO of Digital DEWA, and Mohammed Bin Sulaiman, CEO of Moro Hub.

Driving Smart Healthcare and Sustainability

Al Tayer emphasized that the partnership aligns with the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and supports the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050.

โ€œWe are pleased to cooperate with the Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Health to accelerate the pace of digital transformation in the healthcare sector and develop advanced solutions that enhance the quality of medical services,โ€ Al Tayer said.

HE Dr. Alawi AlSheikh Ali noted that the visit reflects DHAโ€™s commitment to employing innovative digital solutions to strengthen its smart healthcare strategy and reduce carbon emissions, while Dr. Amer Sharif highlighted Dubai Healthโ€™s goal of building an integrated healthcare system grounded in innovation and technology.

Tour of Moro Hub Facilities

The delegations toured Moro Hubโ€™s Green Data Centre, Network Operation Centre (NOC), Security Operation Centre (SOC), and Smart Cities and IoT Command Centre. They were also briefed on the companyโ€™s portfolio of digital services, which includes cloud computing, smart city and IoT solutions, cybersecurity, and enterprise services.

The visit showcased Moro Hubโ€™s role in safeguarding digital infrastructure and supporting healthcare innovation, reinforcing its position as a trusted partner for both the public and private sectors.
