APM Terminals Pipavav has successfully launched a dedicated block train transporting 90 x 20โ GP containers from Pipavav Port to the Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Kanakpura, Jaipur. This operation formed part of a large-scale logistics project for a leading client in the solar energy sector, highlighting the portโs capability to handle specialized industrial cargo.
The cargo, shipped from Malaysia aboard the vessel ONE MARVEL (V-0079W), arrived at Pipavav Port and was moved in a single train operation directly to Jaipur ICD. The entire end-to-end logistics process was executed in close collaboration with Ocean Network Express (India) Pvt. Ltd, Fast Forward Logistics India Pvt. Ltd, Seven Seas Lines SDN BHD, and Container Corporation of India (CONCOR). This seamless coordination ensured timely handling and efficient transportation of the cargo, demonstrating the reliability of multimodal connectivity through Pipavav Port, which integrates ocean and rail transport for project-specific deliveries.
Mr. Girish Aggarwal, Managing Director of APM Terminals Pipavav, stated that the train movement underscores the strength of the portโs integrated logistics ecosystem and the trust placed in the company by its partners and clients. He emphasized that this operation enabled the successful delivery of a critical solar energy project, providing a safe, efficient, and reliable end-to-end logistics solution connecting Malaysia to Rajasthan.
This dedicated block train not only exemplifies APM Terminals Pipavavโs ability to manage large-scale, specialized cargo movements but also reflects the companyโs commitment to supporting sustainable industrial projects. By facilitating efficient port-based logistics infrastructure, the terminal continues to play a key role in advancing Indiaโs renewable energy initiatives and industrial development.
