The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has announced major progress in the state’s clean energy initiatives with the sanctioning of nine solar parks across various districts, totaling a capacity of 3,840 MW.

Of this, 430 MW has already been commissioned and is currently supplying green power to the grid. Additionally, 3,410 MW of projects are under active implementation across multiple parks.

The solar parks are strategically distributed across the state, including 35 MW in Kanpur Nagar, 75 MW in Kanpur Dehat, 1,200 MW in Jalaun, 600 MW each in Jhansi and Lalitpur, 800 MW in Chitrakoot, and 100 MW in Mirzapur.

UPNEDA is also enabling the integration of 4,000 MW of renewable energy into the state grid under the ongoing Green Energy Corridor-II project. This corridor will play a pivotal role in transmitting clean power efficiently and ensuring grid stability.

Through these initiatives, Uttar Pradesh aims to accelerate its transition towards a sustainable energy future, supporting India’s broader renewable energy targets and reducing dependency on conventional power sources.
