Military Engineer Services Invites Bids for Comprehensive Maintenance of 2 MW Solar Power Plant at Kapurthala

The Military Engineer Services (MES) has issued an e-tender for the comprehensive maintenance of a 2 MW solar power plant located at the New Military Station, Kapurthala, under the jurisdiction of GE Kapurthala.

The project, estimated at โ‚น66.99 lakh, will be executed over a period of 273 days. The tender will be processed through the defence procurement portal and the MES official website.

According to the tender details (CA No: CWE/JAL/K-47/2025-26), the contract will follow an item rate basis under the General Conditions of Contract (IAFW-2249) and IAFW 1779-A. The Commander Works Engineer, Jalandhar Cantt, is designated as the tender issuing and accepting officer, while GE Kapurthala will serve as the executing agency.

Eligibility is open to MES-enlisted contractors of Class โ€˜Cโ€™ and above, Category โ€˜b (i)โ€™, without adverse performance remarks. Unenlisted contractors may also participate if they meet equivalent enlistment criteria in terms of experience, turnover, solvency, assets, and technical resources as per the MES Manual on Contracts 2020.

Interested bidders can obtain tender documents by submitting a โ‚น1,000 demand draft or bankerโ€™s cheque in favor of GE Kapurthala, along with an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of โ‚น1,25,500 for non-enlisted bidders. The schedule for bid submission, document download, and opening will be available on the official procurement portal.

The tender emphasizes strict compliance with documentation and eligibility requirements. Contractors are prohibited from subletting the project to third parties, and failure to submit requisite documents or physical EMDs within the prescribed timelines may result in disqualification.
