Kolkata-based Vikram Solar Ltd, one of India’s leading solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturers, has secured a major order of 148.9 megawatts (MW) from renewable energy company Sunsure Energy Pvt. Ltd. The company announced the development through filings with the BSE and NSE on October 23, 2025.
Under the agreement, Vikram Solar will supply its high-efficiency M10R N-Type TOPCon modules, each rated at 595 watts peak (Wp), for solar projects located in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh — two states central to India’s clean energy growth. The order is expected to be fulfilled within 60 days from the Notice to Proceed, which is anticipated in January 2026.
This latest win adds to Vikram Solar’s growing project portfolio, which already includes large-scale contracts such as 200 MW from AB Energia, 336 MW from L&T Construction, and 326 MW from Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd. These projects collectively contribute to India’s target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel power capacity by 2030.
Commenting on the milestone, Vikram Solar Chairman and Managing Director Gyanesh Chaudhary said the collaboration reflects India’s accelerating renewable energy transition. Sunsure Energy’s Co-founder and CCO Manish Mehta noted that the partnership aligns with the company’s mission to deliver dependable green energy solutions, including solar and advanced battery storage systems.
