Vikran Engineering Limited (VEL), a fast-growing Indian EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company, has secured a turnkey EPC contract worth ₹354 crore from Ellume Energy MH SolarOne Private Limited for the development of a 100 MW AC / 120 MW DC solar power project in Maharashtra. According to the Letter of Award (LOA), Vikran Engineering will handle the project on a lump-sum turnkey basis, covering every stage—from design and engineering to procurement, construction, installation, testing, and final commissioning of the solar power plant.
The project will be executed in line with rigorous technical and safety standards and will include advanced performance monitoring systems. Major components such as PV modules, inverters, and transformers will be sourced from Tier-1 manufacturers compliant with IEC and BIS standards, ensuring high quality and reliability.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Rakesh Markhedkar, Chairman and Managing Director of Vikran Engineering Limited, said, “This project highlights our growing expertise in managing large-scale renewable energy initiatives. It aligns with our long-term strategy to expand our presence in the clean energy and sustainable infrastructure sectors. We take pride in contributing to India’s renewable energy goals while maintaining world-class standards in execution and quality.”
The project marks a major milestone in Vikran Engineering’s growth, strengthening its presence in the solar EPC sector. The company, which has already established itself in power transmission, water, and rail infrastructure, is now leveraging its engineering excellence and asset-light model to drive large renewable projects. Once completed, the solar project will play a key role in boosting Maharashtra’s clean energy capacity and contribute to India’s broader renewable energy targets, reinforcing VEL’s commitment to sustainable and responsible infrastructure development.
