INOX Air Products (INOXAP), Indiaโs largest manufacturer of industrial, electronic, and medical gases, has entered into a 20-year Build-Own-Operate (BOO) agreement with Premier Energies, one of Indiaโs leading integrated solar cell and module manufacturers.
Under the agreement, INOXAP will install and commission a cryogenic Air Separation Unit (ASU) at Premier Energiesโ greenfield solar cell manufacturing facility in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh. The ASU will supply 7,000 Nmยณ/h of 5N-grade gaseous nitrogen, 250 Nmยณ/h of 6N-grade ultra-high purity gaseous oxygen, and additional liquid products. The project is expected to be commissioned next year.
The partnership marks the continuation of a four-year collaboration between the two companies, further cementing INOXAPโs position as Premier Energiesโ preferred industrial gas partner. INOXAP currently operates two 750 Nmยณ/h and one 1,000 Nmยณ/h nitrogen generators at Premierโs Hyderabad facility and has recently begun supplying electronic-grade gases to support Premierโs 3 GW solar PV cell production and upcoming 4 GW expansion.
Siddharth Jain, Managing Director of INOX Air Products, said the collaboration underscores their commitment to Indiaโs clean energy transition.
โThis long-term agreement strengthens Indiaโs solar manufacturing ecosystem by ensuring a reliable and sustainable supply of high-purity industrial gases. The new ASU will be Indiaโs first integrated unit dedicated to the solar cell manufacturing industry, capable of generating both ultra-high purity nitrogen and oxygen,โ he said.
Surender Pal Singh Saluja, Chairman of Premier Energies, highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership.
โINOX Air Products has been our trusted partner in advancing Indiaโs green growth journey. With this agreement, we aim to further strengthen the nationโs renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem and contribute to the vision of self-reliance in clean energy,โ he said.
The collaboration aligns with Indiaโs broader goal of boosting domestic solar manufacturing capacity and accelerating the clean energy transition.
