Indygreen Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Goyama Solar to establish a 1 GW solar module manufacturing line in Panipat, Haryana. The agreement was announced during the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2025, marking a significant step in strengthening India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem.
The planned facility is expected to support India’s push for clean energy self-reliance, reduce dependence on imported solar equipment, and enhance the country’s production capacity under initiatives such as Make in India and the National Solar Mission.
Once operational, the project will contribute to local employment, domestic value addition, and supply chain stability, especially as India targets large-scale solar deployments to meet its renewable energy goals.
Industry observers note that while the MoU signals strong intent, the success of the project will depend on timely execution, access to advanced manufacturing technology, quality standards, and competitiveness against global suppliers.
The collaboration between Indygreen Technologies and Goyama Solar underscores a broader trend at REI Expo 2025, where energy companies are increasingly focusing on manufacturing capacity, innovation, and partnerships to support India’s growing clean energy ambitions.
