BlueWave Appoints Industry Veteran Patty DiOrio As Chief Development Officer To Lead Solar And Energy Storage Growth Across The U.S.

BlueWave, a prominent solar and energy storage developer, owner, and operator based in the Northeast United States, has announced the appointment of Patty DiOrio as its new Chief Development Officer. With over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, Ms. DiOrio is recognized as a dynamic leader with a strong passion for advancing the energy transition and building successful teams. In her new role, she will lead BlueWaveโ€™s development strategy, focusing on delivering impactful and profitable renewable energy projects.

Ms. DiOrio brings with her a wealth of expertise in strategy, project development, and energy asset commercialization across North America. Before joining BlueWave, she served as Senior Vice President of Offshore Development & Origination at ร˜rsted, where she oversaw the development and commercialization of the companyโ€™s offshore wind projects.

Her career also includes senior leadership roles at National Grid and IHS Energy, where she played key roles in driving renewable energy growth and shaping market direction. At BlueWave, she will lead the companyโ€™s solar, storage, and site acquisition teams, working to enhance collaboration across departments, accelerate project development, and strengthen BlueWaveโ€™s position as a leader in the clean energy space.

Ms. DiOrio holds a Masterโ€™s degree in Business from Babson College, a Masterโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University, and a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She will be based at BlueWaveโ€™s headquarters in Boston.
