The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has awarded the balance-of-system (BoS) contract for its 200 MW (AC) grid-connected solar-PV project in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh under the CPSU Scheme Phase II, Tranche III. According to the official results document, Amar Infrastructure Limited has emerged as the successful bidder. The contract value is reported at ₹ 439.41 crore for design, engineering, erection, testing and commissioning, plus five years of operations and maintenance.

The tender had been floated by SECI on 1 May 2025, with bid submission originally closing on 5 June 2025. The scope includes all works except the supply of solar modules, which are to be supplied by the owner per the DCR-compliant mandates.

This award marks a significant milestone for Madhya Pradesh’s solar expansion drive and aligns with SECI’s broader efforts to scale utility-scale renewable capacity in India. The BoS contract will enable the rapid deployment of the 200 MW ground-mounted solar plant, supporting India’s clean-energy ambitions and the domestic manufacturing ecosystem for modules and key equipment.

By awarding this contract, SECI signals its confidence in infrastructure players with strong EPC credentials such as Amar Infrastructure. The company will now execute the full design-to-commissioning deliverable, including five years of O&M, which underscores the long-term operational responsibility beyond construction.

The SECI-Dhar BoS tender outcome underscores India’s commitment to building large-scale solar assets through transparent procurement and domestic manufacturing compliance, while driving regional renewable infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh.
