QatarEnergy CEO Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi Strengthens Energy Cooperation with Leading Japanese Companies in Tokyo

His Excellency Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy, held a series of high-level meetings in Tokyo with senior leaders from Japan’s energy industry to discuss enhanced cooperation in the energy sector. He met with executives from major companies including JERA, Mitsui, Kansai Electric, Idemitsu, Cosmo Energy Holdings, and JAPEX.

H.E. Minister Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi continued his visit to Tokyo with a second day of meetings focused on advancing energy sector cooperation. He met with Mr. Masumi Kakinoki, Chairman of the Board of Marubeni Corporation, and Mr. Kaoru Hijikata, Managing Executive Officer of Tohoku Electric Power Company.

Discussions focused on existing partnerships, exploring new collaboration opportunities, and reinforcing long-term bilateral ties between Qatar and Japan in energy development, supply security, and sustainability, reflecting both nations’ commitment to advancing shared goals in the global energy transition.
