The May 20, 2025 agreement covers up to ten companies; the acquisition of the remaining three entitiesโ€”representing around 0.7 GW of wind projectsโ€”will close once outstanding conditions and legal requirements are met. With full ownership of the solar project companies, Ecopetrol now adds more than 0.6 GW of solar capacity to its portfolio and will begin integrating these entities into the Group structure.

This acquisition advances Ecopetrolโ€™s 2040 โ€œEnergy that Transformsโ€ strategy, supporting its decarbonization goals and strengthening low-emission power generation for self-consumption while complementing its core oil and gas operations.
