In a significant move to strengthen Rajasthan’s leadership in clean energy, a high-level delegation from the Rajasthan Solar Association (RSA), led by Shri Nitin Agarwal, CEO of RSA and Co-organiser of Bharat Renewable Expo (BRE) 2026, recently met Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma. The discussions focused on advancing the state’s renewable energy roadmap and positioning Rajasthan as a global epicentre for sustainable power and innovation.
A key proposal presented during the meeting was the establishment of a Dedicated Renewable Manufacturing Zone. This strategic initiative aims to attract large-scale investments, enhance domestic manufacturing capacities for solar components, and generate significant green employment across the state. By building a strong manufacturing ecosystem, Rajasthan is poised to reinforce its reputation as India’s foremost renewable energy powerhouse.
The delegation also shared policy recommendations for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), emphasising the need to accelerate storage deployment to support grid stability and enable wider adoption of renewable energy. Strengthening the BESS framework is expected to be pivotal for ensuring round-the-clock clean energy supply and meeting future energy demands.
Another major milestone highlighted during the interaction was the upcoming RSA Renewable Energy R&D Center and Sun Temple at BAP, Phalodi. Conceptualised as a landmark facility, the centre will foster advanced research, technological innovation, and global collaboration, significantly boosting Rajasthan’s renewable energy capabilities.
The meeting reaffirmed the state government’s dedication to building a sustainable, innovation-driven, and self-reliant energy future. RSA extended its gratitude to Hon’ble CM Shri Bhajanlal Sharma for his vision and continued support in transforming Rajasthan into a global renewable energy hub.
RSA, along with FirstView, is also organising the Bharat Renewable Expo (BRE) 2026 — Rajasthan’s Largest & India’s Premium Clean Energy Expo — scheduled from 16–18 January 2026 in Jaipur; to learn more visit https://events.firstviewgroup.com/BharatRenewableExpo2026
