NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Singareni Collieries Company Limited for the development of renewable energy projects. The agreement was signed on 19th November 2025 in Hyderabad. Senior officials from both organisations were present during the exchange of the MoU, including Sh. N Balram, Chairman and Managing Director of SCCL.
The purpose of this MoU is to explore business opportunities that will benefit both NTPC Green Energy Limited and Singareni Collieries. The two companies plan to work together on a wide range of renewable energy initiatives. These include the development of solar power projects, wind power projects, hybrid renewable energy systems, and projects that may or may not include energy storage. The collaboration also covers emerging areas such as green hydrogen, its derivatives, and green mobility solutions.
This partnership reflects the growing focus on clean energy and the commitment of both organisations to support Indiaโs renewable energy goals. By joining forces, NTPC Green Energy Limited and Singareni Collieries aim to identify and develop projects that can contribute to sustainable energy generation and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
