ACEN Approves PHP 60-Million Funding Facility for YMP to Expand Renewable-Powered Telecom Solutions in Philippines

ACEN Corporation has approved an additional PHP 60-million funding facility for its wholly owned subsidiary, YMP Telecom Power Inc. (YMP), to support ongoing operations and expansion of renewable-powered solutions for the Philippines’ growing telecom sector.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, ACEN stated that its Executive Committee approved the working capital facility on 21 November 2025, with the agreement signed on the same day. The funding will enable YMP to manage its expansion pipeline as demand for clean, stable tower power continues to rise across the country.

YMP develops micro-solar systems that directly energize telecom towers. Currently, the company operates 198 sites with a combined solar-and-battery capacity of 15.5 MW, generating approximately 9.5 GWh annually. All electricity produced by YMP’s systems is supplied directly to telecom towers, reducing diesel consumption and supporting operators’ shift toward cleaner and more reliable energy.

This move underlines ACEN’s continued commitment to sustainable energy solutions in the Philippines and its strategic focus on decarbonizing critical infrastructure sectors.
