ACME Solar announced that its subsidiary, ACME Platinum Urja Private Limited, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 200 MW solar project integrated with a 100 MW/400 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).

The agreement follows SECI’s earlier award of a 350 MW solar-with-storage tender to ACME, of which the 200 MW allocation has now been formally contracted. The hybrid project will supply dispatchable renewable power at a tariff of INR 3.42 per kWh.

Under the terms of the PPA, ACME is required to maintain a solar CUF of 25–27% during generation hours. For the evening peak period, the BESS must achieve a minimum availability of 70% on a monthly basis and 85% annually, ensuring consistent power delivery during high-demand hours.

The project is expected to be commissioned by June 2027, with the company confirming that it has already secured final grid connectivity. ACME said the hybrid installation will enhance grid flexibility and support India’s growing need for firm renewable power.

With this latest agreement, ACME’s total PPA-backed portfolio has risen to 5,380 MW. In the current financial year alone, the company has contracted 800 MW of hybrid capacity and 2,320 MWh of battery storage, strengthening its position as a leading participant in India’s emerging solar-plus-storage market.

The company noted that the project aligns with national goals to improve round-the-clock renewable energy supply and reduce reliance on fossil-fuel-based peak power.
