SECI Signs MoU with IPGCL and PPCL to Boost India’s Renewable Energy Development

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited (IPGCL) and Pragati Power Corporation Limited (PPCL) to strengthen collaboration in renewable energy and related sectors. The MoU was signed on 9 December 2025.

Under the agreement, the three entities will jointly explore and implement renewable energy projects, including solar power, energy storage, and emerging clean energy technologies. Key areas of collaboration include project conceptualization and feasibility studies, technical support and knowledge sharing, and identification and development of suitable renewable energy initiatives.

The partnership aims to diversify the energy portfolios of IPGCL and PPCL while reinforcing SECI’s role as India’s nodal agency for renewable energy development. By leveraging their combined expertise, SECI, IPGCL, and PPCL plan to drive innovation and contribute significantly to India’s energy transition goals.

This strategic association underscores India’s ongoing commitment to a sustainable, reliable, and clean energy future.
