The 4th Edition of Solar and Storage Zimbabwe 2025 concluded successfully at Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles in Harare, reaffirming Zimbabwe’s continued momentum toward a more resilient and sustainable clean energy future. As the country advances its renewable energy ambitions, the event brought together the solar and energy storage ecosystem to support collaboration, knowledge exchange, and practical market engagement.
Set against the backdrop of Zimbabwe’s national renewable energy priorities, the event served as a high-level platform for policymakers, utilities, developers, investors, EPCs, financiers, and technology providers to connect, exchange insights, and align on pathways to accelerate solar deployment, integrate energy storage, and strengthen grid resilience.

The program commenced with opening remarks delivered by Mr. Isaac Chiridza, Deputy Director, Ministry of Energy and Power Development Zimbabwe, who also served as the Guest of Honour. This was followed by a keynote address delivered by Mr. Isaiah Nyakusendwa, Chairman, Renewable Energy Association of Zimbabwe.

The conference featured focused techno commercial presentations from leading industry players including Aiko Energy, Powermec, JA Solar, and ASMASOL Consult, highlighting solar PV technologies, energy storage solutions, system optimisation, and grid integration approaches relevant to Zimbabwe’s evolving energy landscape.
A central highlight of the program was the strategic panel discussions examining Zimbabwe’s solar and storage transition across key focus areas. These discussions addressed strategies and innovations in developing utility scale solar and storage projects to strengthen grid reliability and energy sustainability, distributed solar, storage, and mini grid models for community and business empowerment, and solar and storage market growth through financing strategies, policy incentives, and investor engagement.
