The Rey Solar project, located in Carmona in southern Spain, has begun injecting electricity into the grid, marking a key milestone in its development. The solar plant has a total installed capacity of 426 MW.
According to the project developer, the initial phase of commissioning has been completed in line with the planned schedule. Commissioning activities will continue over the coming days, with the plant expected to gradually ramp up generation until it reaches full capacity.
The company said the achievement reflects the coordinated efforts of its project teams and underscores progress in bringing large-scale solar capacity online in Spain, supporting the countryโs renewable energy transition.
