Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi has concluded his official visit to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with a strong focus on deepening clean energy cooperation and attracting global investment into India’s fast-growing renewable energy sector.

During the visit, the Union Minister participated in the 16th Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and held several high-level engagements aimed at strengthening international partnerships. A key highlight of the visit was a Renewable Energy Investment Roundtable chaired by Shri Joshi, which brought together UAE-based and global financial institutions, investors, and renewable energy developers.

The roundtable discussions covered a broad range of clean energy segments, including distributed solar, EPC services, renewable energy manufacturing, energy storage solutions, green hydrogen, waste-to-energy projects, and sustainable finance. Shri Joshi outlined India’s renewable energy growth trajectory and emphasised the wide-ranging opportunities across project development, financing, and domestic manufacturing under the Make in India initiative. He positioned India as one of the most attractive global destinations for long-term clean energy investment, supported by stable policies and ambitious national targets.

On the sidelines of the event, he interacted with stakeholders from across the global clean energy ecosystem, reiterating India’s commitment to a just, inclusive, and scalable energy transition.

As part of his engagements, the Union Minister met members of the Indian diaspora in the UAE, including the Kannada community, and acknowledged their efforts to preserve Indian language and culture abroad. He also visited prominent cultural and spiritual landmarks, including the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi and religious sites in Dubai, reflecting the strong people-to-people ties between India and the UAE.

Earlier, addressing the IRENA Assembly plenary, Shri Joshi reaffirmed that India’s energy transition is guided by the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—One Earth, One Family, One Future—anchored in equity, inclusivity, and long-term policy stability. The visit further reinforced India–UAE collaboration in renewable energy and clean infrastructure, underscoring India’s readiness to work with global partners to accelerate the global energy transition.
