POWERGRID Bhadla Sikar Transmission Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., has successfully commissioned an important inter-state transmission project in Rajasthan. The company secured this project through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding route and was assigned the mandate to implement the “Transmission system strengthening scheme for evacuation of Power from Solar Energy Zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase II – Part E.”

According to the company’s disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the full project has been completed and commissioned with effect from January 14, 2026. The Notification for Commercial Operation (DOCO) was received through email on January 16, 2026.

The project is aimed at strengthening the transmission network to support the evacuation of large-scale solar power from Rajasthan’s solar energy zones. This development is expected to improve grid connectivity and enable smoother integration of renewable energy into the national power system.
