NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to develop large-scale Renewable Energy (RE) and Green Hydrogen projects across the state. The agreement was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on January 22, 2026, in Davos, Switzerland, during the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting, underlining the international importance of India’s sustainable energy transition.

The MoU was signed by Shri Vijay Kiran Anand, IAS, CEO of Invest UP and UPSIDA, representing the Uttar Pradesh government, and Shri DMR Panda, Executive Director of NGEL. The ceremony was attended by key dignitaries, including Shri Suresh Kumar Khanna, Minister of Finance and Parliamentary Affairs of Uttar Pradesh, along with senior officials from both the state government and NTPC/NGEL.
