Galaxy Solar Signs ₹10,080 Crore MoU with Maharashtra Government to Boost Solar Manufacturing and Infrastructure

Galaxy Solar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra, committing an investment of ₹10,080 crore towards solar manufacturing and infrastructure development in the state.

The strategic agreement is aimed at strengthening Maharashtra’s position as a leading renewable energy hub, while accelerating industrial growth, job creation, and innovation across the clean energy value chain. A significant portion of the investment will be directed towards the Vidarbha region, supporting regional development and sustainable industrial expansion.

The initiative aligns with India’s broader clean energy transition goals, focusing on the development of large-scale solar manufacturing capacity and supporting infrastructure. Through this partnership, Galaxy Solar plans to contribute to enhancing domestic solar production capabilities, improving supply chain resilience, and promoting energy security.

Officials stated that the project is expected to generate substantial employment opportunities, stimulate ancillary industries, and foster technological innovation in the renewable energy sector.

Galaxy Solar reiterated its commitment to supporting India’s renewable energy ambitions by delivering impact-driven, sustainable energy solutions that benefit industries, communities, and the environment.
