Asia Clean Capital Vietnam (ACCV) has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with two Korean companies operating in Vietnam, Nosafood and Speed Vina, to promote the development of rooftop solar and battery energy storage solutions. The signing ceremony took place on February 10, 2026, marking a new step in cooperation between ACCV and Korean-invested manufacturing enterprises in the country.
Under the agreements, the companies will work together to study and move toward the implementation of rooftop solar systems combined with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The aim is to improve energy efficiency, increase operational independence, and support sustainable development goals. The partnership reflects growing interest among industrial and manufacturing businesses in adopting clean and reliable energy solutions.
As renewable energy capacity continues to expand in Vietnam, the combination of rooftop solar and energy storage is being seen as a practical solution for factories and industrial parks. By integrating battery storage with solar power, businesses can reduce pressure on the grid during peak hours, especially around midday when solar generation is high. The system allows companies to store excess solar energy and use it later, helping stabilize power supply and improve overall system reliability.
The solution also supports better management of electricity costs, particularly as energy prices fluctuate. In addition, many manufacturing companies are facing increasing pressure to reduce carbon emissions and meet sustainability standards set by global partners. The rooftop solar plus storage model can help them lower their carbon footprint while maintaining stable operations.
The agreements with Nosafood and Speed Vina are in line with ACCV’s strategy to connect international partners and combine technology with financial solutions to address Vietnam’s changing energy needs. The year 2026 is considered important in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and South Korea, creating favorable conditions for deeper cooperation in clean energy, manufacturing, and technology.
As a member of the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (KOCHAM), ACCV continues to strengthen its engagement with Korean enterprises investing in the country. The company aims to build practical partnerships that meet business needs while supporting Vietnam’s long-term sustainability plans.
William Bruce Hicks, Chairman of ACCV, said the integration of rooftop solar and battery storage represents a new stage in distributed energy development. He noted that through cooperation with Korean companies, ACCV plans to bring these solutions closer to businesses in Vietnam, helping them optimize energy costs and improve operational efficiency.
The MOUs also create a foundation for further discussions to design tailored implementation plans for each manufacturing facility. The collaboration highlights ACCV’s role in linking capital, technology, and sustainable investment to support the development of a modern energy ecosystem in Vietnam.
