NTPC Limited has issued a Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) for a technical upgrade project at its Faridabad Gas Power Station, reinforcing its focus on maintaining and modernizing renewable energy assets. The tender calls for the โDesign, Engineering, Supply, Installation and Commissioning, including Retrofitting of Solar Inverterโ for the plantโs existing 5 MW solar power facility.
The project reflects a targeted initiative to strengthen operational efficiency and reliability at the Faridabad site. By retrofitting the solar inverter system, NTPC aims to enhance performance and ensure continued integration of renewable power within its broader generation portfolio.
The bidding process will follow a Single Stage Single Envelope system, under which bidders must submit both techno-commercial and price bids simultaneously. The tender has been floated as a domestic competitive bidding process, open to eligible local bidders. Interestingly, the document specifies that there are no specific qualifying requirements applicable to this package. Additionally, benefits for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and purchase preferences have been marked as โNot Applicableโ for this procurement.
According to the tender details, the project has been categorized as โNon-Overhauling.โ The contract will be awarded to a single agency, as the scope of work does not permit splitting of quantities. The total contract duration is six months, with delivery timelines governed by the detailed Scope of Work (SOW) mentioned in the bidding documents.
Bidders are required to quote on a firm price basis, and all rates must include applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST). The work will be carried out at the Faridabad Gas Power Station located in Village Mujedi, District Faridabad, Haryana.
In terms of financial requirements, the tender clearly states that no Tender Fee or Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) is applicable for this package, which may encourage wider participation. However, the document refers to the Special Conditions of Contract (SCC) for details regarding the Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) and other security deposit requirements.
The tender documents were digitally signed on February 16, 2026. Interested bidders are advised to refer to the NTPC eProcurement Portal for specific deadlines related to bid submission, bid opening, and clarification requests. The tender also reiterates compliance requirements related to bidders from countries sharing land borders with India, who must be registered with the competent authority to participate.
With this initiative, NTPC continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustaining and upgrading its renewable energy infrastructure while ensuring transparency and competitiveness in procurement processes.
