Vikram Solar Signs ₹2,000 Crore Deal With Jupiter International For 2 GW ALMM-Compliant Solar Cells

Vikram Solar Limited has announced a major step to strengthen its domestic supply chain by signing a cell procurement agreement with Jupiter International Limited. The development was disclosed on February 21, 2026, marking an important move in India’s renewable energy sector.

As per the agreement, formally executed on February 20, 2026, Vikram Solar will procure 2 GW of ALMM-compliant crystalline solar cells from Jupiter International. The order includes two advanced technologies: high-efficiency TopCon solar cells and high-efficiency mono PERC solar cells. The total value of the procurement is around Rs. 2,000 crore, reflecting the large scale and long-term nature of the partnership.

The company shared the details under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations. In its filing, Vikram Solar clarified that there is no shareholding relationship between the two companies. It also confirmed that the transaction is not a related party deal. Jupiter International is not connected to Vikram Solar’s promoter group or any of its group companies.

By securing 2 GW of solar cells that comply with the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM), Vikram Solar aims to ensure a stable and reliable supply of key components for its module manufacturing operations. The move will help the company meet rising demand for solar power projects across India while maintaining compliance with government regulations.
