Pace Digitek and its subsidiary Lineage Power have announced the successful delivery of their 100th Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) container, marking an important milestone for the company and for India’s renewable energy sector. The achievement, reached in early 2026, reflects the company’s growing role in supporting grid-scale energy storage as demand rises across the country.
The 100th BESS unit was fully manufactured at the company’s automated facility, which has an annual production capacity of 5 GWh. By handling the entire manufacturing process in-house, the company has strengthened its quality control and technical capabilities. This approach also supports the Government of India’s “Make in India” initiative, which promotes domestic manufacturing and self-reliance in key sectors, including clean energy.
The BESS containers are designed to support solar and wind power projects by storing excess electricity generated during peak production hours. This stored energy can then be supplied to the grid when demand increases or when renewable generation drops due to weather conditions. In addition, the systems can provide reliable backup power for critical applications, helping improve overall grid stability.
Company officials said the milestone is not just about the number of units delivered but also about building long-term energy infrastructure for the country. With a strong order pipeline already secured, Pace Digitek and Lineage Power expressed confidence in expanding their footprint further. The latest delivery underlines their commitment to advancing India’s clean energy transition and strengthening energy security through large-scale storage solutions.
