India-based clean energy procurement and financing platform Aerem Solutions has announced the appointment of Nilesh Malani as its Executive Director. In his new role, Malani will oversee the company’s consumer business, marketing strategy, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) e-commerce operations as the company expands its green energy ecosystem.
Malani joins Aerem Solutions with more than two decades of leadership experience across marketing, retail growth, and brand transformation. Most recently, he served as Global Chief Marketing Officer at Waaree Group, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s global brand presence and contributing to its highly successful initial public offering (IPO). During his tenure, he also supported business development initiatives for the company’s flexible solar module category, helping expand its market reach.
Before joining Waaree, Malani held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at Polycab India Limited, where he established the firm’s marketing division and led the expansion of its wires and fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG) product portfolio. His contributions included introducing a refreshed brand identity, securing international sponsorship partnerships, building a digital marketing ecosystem, and launching the company’s e-commerce platform.
Malani’s career also includes leadership roles at major corporations such as JSW Steel, Castrol, and Asian Paints, where he focused on retail expansion, brand building, and business growth through innovation-driven strategies.
Commenting on the appointment, Anand Jain, CEO and Founder of Aerem Solutions, said the company is entering a key growth phase and Malani’s experience in brand building, strategic scaling, and digital transformation will help accelerate its mission.
“Nilesh’s leadership will be instrumental in strengthening our consumer-facing platforms and expanding our corporate strategy across group entities such as Netzero NBFC and the Sunstore procurement platform,” Jain said, adding that the company aims to advance sustainable energy adoption through integrated solutions ranging from solar technology to net-zero financing.
Speaking on his new role, Malani said India is witnessing a rapid shift toward sustainable energy adoption. He noted that Aerem is well positioned to support this transition by building a technology-driven consumer ecosystem.
“My focus will be on leveraging technology and data to create a seamless D2C experience, enabling Aerem to become a trusted partner for businesses and households adopting green energy solutions,” he said.
The appointment reflects Aerem Solutions’ strategy to strengthen its consumer engagement model while expanding its presence in India’s evolving clean energy market.
