First Solar Contractors Meet in Dehradun Brings Together Uttarakhand’s Solar Industry Leaders

Solar Contractors Meet Dehradun 2026 convened solar contractors, EPC companies, system integrators, developers and technology providers for a focused day of industry dialogue and knowledge exchange in Uttarakhand.

Hosted at Gateway Dehradun, the platform brought together stakeholders from across the regional solar ecosystem to discuss project execution, contractor capabilities and solar deployment across the state. Organized by FirstView Group with SolarQuarter as Strategic Media Partner, the meet forms part of a national initiative designed to engage and support the contractor community driving India’s solar installations on the ground.

Opening the Dialogue

Solar Contractors Meet Dehradun 2026 commenced with Opening Remarks by Mr. Ajaz Shaikh, Manager Production Management, FirstView Group, who introduced the Solar Contractors Meet Series and highlighted the role of contractors, EPC companies and system integrators in India’s expanding solar market.

The Keynote Address was delivered by Shri Atul Baluni, President, Renewable Energy Development Association Uttarakhand (REDA), who emphasized the importance of collaboration between industry stakeholders and policymakers in supporting solar deployment across the state.

Special remarks were delivered by Shri Ritesh Singh, Deputy Resident Director, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), who highlighted the role of industry platforms in strengthening policy dialogue within the renewable energy sector.

Technology Presentations

The conference featured a series of techno commercial presentations highlighting solar technologies, system integration and installation solutions.

Policy and Implementation Dialogue

The first panel discussion examined Uttarakhand’s Solar Transition. Policy Intent, Process Gaps and Ground Level Execution.

The session featured insights from Mr. Sunil Bisht, Chief Program Manager Uttarakhand, REC Limited, Mr. Nishant Singhal, Founder and Director, S&S Energy Systems Pvt Ltd, Mr. Apoorv Singhal, Director, Sonic Engineering and Automation Pvt Ltd, Mr. Ameet Kumar, Founder, Aditya Green Power, and Mr. Aman Joshi, Co Founder and Director, Fidato Consultants Pvt Ltd, with the discussion moderated by Mr. Prakhar Srivastava, CEO, Ray Steeds Energy Pvt Ltd.

Panelists discussed policy implementation, regulatory processes and execution challenges associated with scaling solar deployment across Uttarakhand.

The second panel discussion brought together perspectives from Shri Balwant Singh Pangte, Superintending Engineer, Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited, Shri Atul Baluni, President, Renewable Energy Development Association Uttarakhand (REDA), Mr. Sunil Kumar Upadhyay, Managing Director, Bankey Bihari Renewable Energy India Pvt Ltd, Mr. Abhay Semwal, Director, Vishwanath Energy Solutions, Mr. Vishal Sharma, Founder, Aditya Green Power, Mr. Pankaj Kargeti, Engagement Lead, Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), and Ms. Lavanya Singhal, Director, Rama Global Lighting, moderated by Mr. Aman Joshi, Co Founder and Director, Fidato Consultants Pvt Ltd.

The event concluded with the Solar Contractors Awards 2026 and Surya Mitra Awards 2026, recognizing individuals and organizations contributing to the development of Uttarakhand’s solar ecosystem.

Distinguished addresses were delivered by the Guests of Honour, Shri Arun Kumar Tyagi, Former Chief Project Officer, Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) and Former Advisor, Planning Department, Government of Uttarakhand, and Shri Dr. Vijay Singh Tomar, State President, Laghu Udyog Bharti Uttarakhand, who shared their perspectives on renewable energy adoption and industry collaboration in the state.
