Edify Energy has received approval for its proposed Burroway Solar Farm, marking a key milestone in advancing the renewable energy project in New South Wales.
The approval follows a comprehensive assessment process conducted by the Independent Planning Commission, whose commissioners and review team carried out detailed evaluations, including a site visit, as part of the projectโs review.
With the approval secured, Edify Energy is now moving forward with the next phase of project development. The company stated that ongoing engagement with local stakeholders will remain a central component of the development process. In particular, it plans to continue consultations with Narromine Shire Council and members of the local community to ensure the project aligns with regional priorities.
The Burroway Solar Farm is expected to contribute to the stateโs broader energy transition by supporting the expansion of renewable power generation across New South Wales. In addition to strengthening clean energy infrastructure, the project is also anticipated to create local employment opportunities, support training and education initiatives, and deliver economic benefits to the surrounding region.
