Cleantech Solar Deepens Collaboration With Coats Group plc, Signing a Second Renewable Energy Project in Indonesia

Cleantech Solar, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions to corporations in India and Southeast Asia, is delighted to announce the signing of a second long-term agreement with Coats Group plc, a world-leading Tier 2 supplier of critical components to the apparel and footwear industries. This new agreement will see Cleantech Solar develop and operate a second large-scale rooftop solar PV system for Coats Rejo Indonesia at their facilityin Pasuruan, East Java, further strengthening their commitment to sustainable manufacturing in the region.

Since commissioning, the first phase of the project has led to a reduction of 1011 tonnes of CO2 emissions. Once completed, the combined project will enable Coats to substitute 17.3% of its total power consumption with renewable energy at zero capital investment. This long-term partnership is an important step in Coats’ sustainability efforts in Indonesia and is in line with the Company’s focus on ‘pioneering a sustainable future.’
