Oriana Power Limited has secured three new Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) orders for solar power projects in Rajasthan, marking a steady step forward in its renewable energy portfolio. These projects have been awarded by three separate private companies and will together add 32 MW of ground-mounted solar capacity.
A key highlight of these projects is the inclusion of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with a combined capacity of 20 MWh. This integration is expected to improve the stability and reliability of solar power by storing excess energy and supplying it when needed, helping address the issue of intermittent solar generation.
The total EPC contract value for these three projects stands at ₹162.68 crore. In addition to this, Oriana Power Limited will also provide Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services for a period of two years, valued at ₹1 crore. Both the EPC and O&M contract values are exclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Among the three projects, Kesari Alloys Private Limited has been awarded the largest contract. This project will have a capacity of 16 MW along with 10 MWh of battery storage and is valued at ₹74.34 crore. The other two projects have been awarded by Ramayna Ispat Private Limited and Duggar Fiber Private Limited. Each of these projects will have a capacity of 8 MW and will include 5 MWh of BESS. Both contracts are valued at ₹44.17 crore each.
All three solar projects are located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, a region known for its high solar potential. Oriana Power Limited’s scope of work includes complete project execution, starting from design and engineering to procurement, installation, testing, and final commissioning.
The company has also clarified that none of its promoters or promoter group entities have any interest in the companies awarding these contracts. It further confirmed that these deals are not related party transactions and have been conducted at arm’s length.
This development reflects the growing demand for integrated solar and storage solutions in India and strengthens Oriana Power Limited’s position in the renewable energy sector.
