Adani Green Adds 360.5 MW Renewable Capacity And 1,376 MWh BESS In Gujarat And Rajasthan

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has announced that several new renewable energy and battery storage projects have started commercial operations in Gujarat and Rajasthan from April 1, 2026. With this development, the company has added 360.5 MW of renewable power capacity and 1,376 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity to its portfolio.

The new projects are spread across two major locations. In Bandha, the company commissioned 137.5 MW of solar power through its subsidiary. In Khavda, a total of 223 MW capacity has been added, including 158 MW of solar and 65 MW of wind energy through its step-down subsidiaries. These additions strengthen the company’s presence in key renewable energy zones of the country.

Along with power generation, the company has also expanded its energy storage capacity at the Khavda site. Two subsidiaries have commissioned battery storage systems with capacities of 953 MWh and 423 MWh. Together, these projects contribute a total of 1,376 MWh of storage capacity, enabling dispatchable renewable energy supply and improving grid stability.

The company received final clearances for these projects late on March 31, 2026, and full power generation started from April 1, 2026. This marks an important step in scaling up its renewable and storage capabilities.

With the addition of these projects, AGEL’s total operational renewable energy capacity has reached 19,293.8 MW, highlighting its continued growth in the clean energy sector.
