NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has entered into a strategic partnership with PTC India Limited to strengthen renewable energy distribution in India. The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 31, 2026, marking an important step towards improving the availability and sale of clean energy across the country.
The main aim of this agreement is to explore effective ways to sell renewable power. Under the MoU, both companies will work together to identify opportunities for power sales through bilateral agreements and other market-based mechanisms. This collaboration is expected to make it easier to supply green energy from generation projects to utilities and commercial consumers, using PTC India’s strong presence in the power trading sector.
The MoU was signed in the presence of senior officials from both organisations. Shri Sarit Maheshwari, Chief Executive Officer of NGEL, and Dr. Manoj Kumar Jhawar, Chairman and Managing Director of PTC India Limited, formally signed the agreement. Their leadership teams also attended the ceremony, indicating the importance of this partnership for future growth and execution.
The development was officially disclosed under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. As part of this requirement, NGEL informed both the National Stock Exchange and BSE about the partnership. The company, headquartered in Greater Noida with its registered office in New Delhi, continues to expand its presence in the renewable energy sector.
Through this collaboration, NGEL aims to improve its power sale strategies and ensure efficient delivery of renewable energy. The partnership reflects a broader industry trend where energy companies are joining hands to meet India’s rising demand for clean and sustainable power.
