Serentica Renewables Appoints Satish Kumar Rathor as COO – Solar & BESS

Serentica Renewables has announced the appointment of Satish Kumar Rathor as Chief Operating Officer – Solar & Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), strengthening its leadership team as it expands its clean energy portfolio in India.

Rathor brings nearly three decades of experience across nuclear, thermal, and renewable energy sectors. In his new role, he will lead the company’s solar and battery storage operations, with a focus on execution excellence, operational scale-up, and the delivery of reliable round-the-clock clean energy solutions for industrial consumers.

His professional experience spans large-scale project execution, operational optimisation, and integration of clean energy technologies across diverse energy portfolios, positioning him to support Serentica’s growth in the renewable energy and storage segments.

Commenting on the appointment, Akshay Hiranandani, CEO of Serentica Renewables, said that Rathor’s extensive industry experience and operational leadership would play a critical role in scaling the company’s solar and storage capabilities while strengthening its ability to deliver sustainable power solutions.

Rathor expressed enthusiasm about joining the company at a time when it is contributing to India’s industrial decarbonisation efforts. He noted that he looks forward to working with the leadership team to enhance execution capabilities and deliver dependable clean energy solutions at scale.

Prior to joining Serentica Renewables, Rathor served as Vice President at KEC International Limited, where he was involved in leading large-scale renewable energy projects across India. His career includes working with major industry players, with a track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects and driving cross-functional collaboration.

The appointment comes as Serentica Renewables continues to expand its solar and energy storage portfolio, aligning with the growing demand for integrated clean energy solutions in India’s industrial sector.
