SWELECT Energy Systems Limited has announced the launch of its off-grid solar cooking solution, a clean energy innovation introduced on the occasion of Tamil New Year. The launch comes at a time when rising LPG prices and supply uncertainties are prompting households to explore alternative cooking solutions.

The newly introduced system uses solar photovoltaic (PV) panels to power standard induction stoves, enabling cooking without reliance on grid electricity or LPG. The solution is designed to provide households with energy independence by allowing them to prepare meals entirely using solar power.

Commenting on the development, Dr. Arulkumar Shanmugasundaram, Managing Director and CEO, stated that the initiative aims to deliver a practical clean energy solution for everyday use. He noted that the product reflects the companyโ€™s focus on innovation, highlighting the development of a proprietary technology with intellectual property rights within a short timeframe. He also invited households to adopt solar-powered cooking as the company prepares to scale up production.

The off-grid solar cooking system is expected to offer multiple benefits, including reduced dependence on conventional energy sources, long-term cost savings on fuel and electricity, and zero emissions at the point of use. The solution is targeted at households seeking sustainable, cost-effective, and reliable cooking alternatives.

SWELECT stated that the product will be available in limited quantities during the initial launch phase. The company plans to expand production capacity in the coming months and has encouraged interested consumers to register early.

The launch aligns with SWELECTโ€™s broader strategy to promote decentralized clean energy solutions and expand the adoption of renewable technologies at the household level.
