ACT Power Services has been acquired by a group of strategic investors led by BridgePeak Energy Capital, marking a new phase for the solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) operations and maintenance (O&M) provider.

The transaction, completed through a bankruptcy acquisition process, was finalized on January 31, 2026, following a Chapter 11 auction held earlier in the month and approval by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

Founded in 2020 and previously acquired by an affiliate of Pine Gate Renewables in 2022, ACT Power Services has built a presence in the renewable O&M sector. The company currently manages over 9 GWdc of solar generation capacity and more than 2 GWh of battery storage across hundreds of projects in 28 states across the United States.

As part of the acquisition, Kyle Cooper has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. He brings nearly two decades of experience in power generation operations, including prior roles at Cypress Creek Renewables and Duke Energy.

Rebecca Cooper, co-founder of ACT and former General Counsel, has rejoined the company as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel. Max Isaacs has also joined the leadership team as Chief Operations and Safety Officer.

The new ownership group indicated that the acquisition is aimed at supporting continuity in operations while strengthening the companyโ€™s position in the renewable energy O&M market. ACTโ€™s existing portfolio and operational capabilities were cited as key factors in the investment decision.

According to company statements, ACT maintained operational performance and service delivery throughout the parent companyโ€™s bankruptcy process, continuing to support asset owners with maintenance and reliability services.

The investor group, led by BridgePeak Energy Capital, is expected to leverage its experience across the renewable energy value chain to support ACTโ€™s next phase of growth, with a focus on expanding its O&M platform in both solar and energy storage segments.
