Alpex Solar Limited has announced a new project related to solar-powered water pumping systems in Maharashtra. The update was shared through a regulatory filing dated April 17, 2026. The company has received an order worth about Rs. 40.92 crore, excluding GST, from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd..

This project is part of the “Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump” Yojana, which comes under the larger PM KUSUM Scheme (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan). The scheme aims to support farmers by providing reliable and clean energy through solar-powered solutions, reducing their dependence on conventional electricity.

Under the contract, Alpex Solar will handle the complete process, including design, manufacturing, supply, and transportation of off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems. The project will involve installing pumps of different capacities such as 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP, depending on the needs of farmers.

Apart from installation, the company will also provide a full system warranty along with repair and maintenance services. It will also deploy a Remote Monitoring System (RMS) for a period of five years. This will help in tracking system performance and ensuring smooth operations over the long term.

The company stated that the order is a domestic commercial contract and does not involve any related party transactions. It also confirmed that its promoters or group companies have no interest in MSEDCL.

The project has been given a tight execution timeline and is expected to be completed within 60 days from the date of the work order. This quick turnaround highlights the urgency of expanding solar solutions in the agricultural sector.

With this order, Alpex Solar continues to strengthen its presence in the solar EPC and water pumping segment, supporting the adoption of renewable energy in rural India.
